** CCC Moderator nominations closed **

Post by Sam Hull »

Nominations and team lists for CCC moderator positions may be submitted by PM (to Sam Hull) or e-mail (tcadmin@verizon.net) now through Sunday March 30.

Nominations and acceptances for individuals must be sent via e-mail or PM - please don't rely on forum posts. Check the list below before submitting a name. A member can submit up to three nominees - no self-nominations. **Be sure to inform your choices to ensure they are aware of their nomination**. Those who do not respond and accept will not be on the ballot.

Moderator teams consisting of three members and an alternate can place themselves into nomination. If any teams choose to run, a team election will be held first along the same lines as past elections; if no teams apply an individual candidate format will be used.

Teams and nominees can submit a moderation philosophy statement by e-mail or PM for posting in this thread. Teams, nominees and confirmation status are listed below.

No member can sign up for more than one team or run on both sides of the board. If more than two teams run and no team gains more than 50% of the vote, a run-off election between the top two teams will be held. If only one team signs up it will run against the option for an individual candidate election.

Nominee and voter criteria remain the same as in past elections; i.e., those who have been members for less than six months or have less than 40 posts as of the date nominations begin are not eligible.

Thanks,
-Sam-

Mark Young Moderator Philosophy

Post by Sam Hull »

Mark Young - Moderation Policy Statement:

Once a member gains access to the message board, he may read all messages and post new or response messages with the proviso that these new or response messages:

1. Are, within reason, on the topic of computer chess
2. Are not abusive in nature
3. Do not contain personal and/or libelous attacks on others
4. Are not flagrant commercial exhortations
5. Are not of questionable legal status.

The Computer Chess Club was founded with the idea that a full range of computer chess ideas and topics could be discussed, and, if necessary challenged, without also making personal attacks.

As a moderator I will uphold the charter. Without limiting the members choice of computer chess related topics, or moving topics of discussion that are within the standards of the charter.

Thank you for your consideration.

Mark Young.
