That's a correct observation. Simultaneously it launches another thread for about 1/3 - 1/2 of the time control to calculate the patterns.
Is there a way to restrict it to using just one core?
Not at this moment, too much work.

Maestro Ed ,

Superb the new engine.
Two observations-if possible:

1.-the installation folder contains the same old rebeluci.exe ( in fact the Wb2Uci.exe) with a wrong MateScore display under Fritz/Shredder.....GUIs.
Do you remember our discussion on Chess2U forum, Maestro Ed ?

http://www.chess2u.com/t7971-the-proble ... o-packages

Use the new Wb2Uci.exe (245.760 bytes from 23-06-2007) renamed rebeluci.exe, otherwise all games on Fritz GUI are compromised.

2.-For ComputerChessWiki team: Rebel TNG (like all ProDeo & Rebel) is a pure Winboard engine. Not an UCI one like is listed on Engine List. Is UCI only via Wb2Uci.exe (renamed rebeluci.exe) !

Have a nice day !

Mea Culpa Ruxy! I fotgot all about it.

Hi Ed,

Thank you so much for Rebel TNG. Wonderful news.

One thing though. I cannot get the engine run in analysis mode in ChessPartner. In Arena no problem.

I tried installing in different ways in CP, Winboard 1 and 2 and also Native, but no response in "analysis mode" or in "analyse position" mode. I also changed the "Special" item under "Level" to "Infinite". but no luck.
Normal play works just fine in CP.
Any ideas?

Cheers,
Kaj

Hi Ed,
so the last Version which can be used to test in Rating Lists is Version 1.8.7.
You did not optimize this code for 1CPU ?

all the best

Pretty sure that ProDeo 1.88 was okay too?

My bad!

Rename:

1. Prodeo.cpeini
2. Prodeo.cpevar

To RebelTng.

Hi Graham, I am not sure - how to stop this engine using all the databases?

PS: here Rebel TNG uses 58% of a quad - more than 2 CPUs
