Abundance of castling vs en passant rights

Post by Kirill Kryukov » Mon Apr 14, 2014 9:17 am

Just in case if you were curious: In chess endgames castling is more abundant with up to 8 pieces, en passant - with 9 pieces or more.

Details are available on the NULP pages (link to relevant results section).

(BTW, this has nothing to do with the frequency of observing castling nor en passant in actual games).
