Why does Chessbase 12 keep asking me for activation????

I have Chessbase 12 installed on my Windows 8.1 Update 1 computer at home. After a great deal of difficulty I managed to activate it.

The problem I have now is that it asks me to provide the activation code every time(!) I start it. When I got to check the activation status, it shows YES in the activation field and the correct activation code that I typed in.

Why does it keep asking me to activate it??

Does it ask on opening or when trying to access playchess?

Right click on the Chessbase Icon and click Run as Administrator then Activate as normal and the problem should go away.

Your basically saying that I need to be in an Admin mode to do the activation so that the repeated prompts go away, correct? I will try that as soon as I get gome.

Yes, I believe so. If not then you may need to contact Chessbase. Hope it works for you.
