Yes, 1 Hour per side would be a reasonable compromise.

Hello Jeffrey,

Isn't there an adage that if you sacrifice a rook and win the game, it is a brilliancy, but if you lose it is the worst blunder ever?

Later.

It is an interesting game, but it is not that shocking. SF was a rook down for a while, but have 4 pawns, not to mention the rook was trapped and the king stuck in the middle. So, it was not down in material that much. The compensation was only for R v PPPP.

BTW, the opening treatment from black perspective was ugly.

Fully agreed....

Hello Jeffrey,

Later.

After rook sacrifice, give black side to SF and white side to a strong engine, say K8 (maybe Gull 3 or H4) and play several times from there.

This will bring some better understanding of the sacrifice. From that game continuation, white gets pawns + dynamic compensations and has a safer king, as told by Miguel.

Perhaps half an hour won't chase me away if it is an interesting game.

there are lots of short tournaments.

I also think TCEC is too long to watch live, but I load TCEC website almost every day to see results and replay some games *as fast I wish*

And there is no need to ask nothing but thanks. ;)

Maybe long time controls are fine if there would be a strong player giving live comments. Perhaps we need to program an avatar which does that.

It's an impressive game, but with the black King's rook stuck in the corner for most of the game, the difference in material wasn't an advantage for Jonny. Once Stockfish got its attack and piece activity going black was finished.
