I wonder if this would make it good news for me.
I simply never had a chance to sort out all my computer and therefore i don't even have a decent computer chess engine in regular use, which i can play against and analyze with when ever i want and from any position i want to, and set up within seconds, like i used to do with hiarcs 6 and 7.
(i know that sometimes someone has explained me what to do. But it always made me problems as i do not like to be on facebook etc and i don't like all other kinds of stuff online and i don't have success in instaling things as they never work, or i am asked questions at the last minute and the downloading or the installation doesn't go through).

of course, but no download links - hiarcs@hiarcs.com wrote:

Did you made the same experiences? In my opinion customers were formerly informed by email-contact directly of HIARCS-team.

I did update this way that is via Help->Check for updates.
It is my preferred TCEC viewer of choice. I like the fact that the interface is clean, simple and easy to use.

I have installed it already but it does not show up in Help->about...., it is still 1.8, so practically we don't know what exact version is installed. Do you know what is in 1.8c?
no: I looked at the modified files, and it seems that the only ones are some directories about audio, images, and so on.
maybe somehting in the exe too, that is now dated 19-12, while the previous update was dated 18-12 on hiarcs site.
note: confirmed: the old exe was dated 17-12, therefore the today's update is effective on my computer
