An interview with yours truly + a few links to TCEC articles

Post by Martin Thoresen »

Hi all,

I hope you all enjoyed TCEC 7. Christopher Chabris interviewed me for his blog and made a couple of interesting articles in the Wall Street Journal. You can read it all here:

http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-real-ki ... 1420827071 (on chess computers)
http://www.wsj.com/articles/anatomy-of- ... 1420826910 (on game #14 of the Superfinal)

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info, the late Don was not mentioned in link 2, I believe he still has more influence on Komodo. I visit your tourney but not that often, the games are certainly full of interesting positions. I hope you continue doing the computer championships.
And for us with one core :) , perhaps you can consider entering them in the elimination phase, just to see couple of surprises here and there if ever there is. Even before the tourney starts we already know couple of top engines that will qualify for top honors anyway.
