Sting SF 4.8.4 correction

Post by lech »

I cleaned code of Sting and removed some doubt pieces (joyful creativity).
It seems to be a good start point for my next ideas, but now I need a longer rest.
I hope this version is finally stable and ready to be tested (ELO) if someone want to do it.

Maybe, I can't be friendly, but let me be useful.

Should I stop my 4.8.3 gauntlet, get rid of the 100+ games played and start again with this version?

The project Sting is not question of a lucky shot. Maybe, all what can do Sting is out of dreams for others. Maybe.
For a next test you have much more time than you think.

Hi Marek,

I wasn't criticising Sting.

I guess I was just expressing my frustration at having to restart my testing again, as it means about 9 days testing on 1 core has to be discarded.

However, our graveyard of discarded games is rather large anyway and there are some engines that figure way more prominently.

PS - Sting SF 4.8.4 64-bit Gauntlet now underway.
