Getting rid of the progress bar has alleviated the problem somewhat, but on the same HW, Mountain lion is still 4 to 5 times slower, than Windows 8.

How do I change the default language of ScidvsPc 4.15 ? The menu only shows english though the language files are in /tcl/lang directory.
I use Linux.

In the options menu you choose language and here you can choose the language with the language list of the folder tcl/lang.
