Chess engine styles

Post by Dicaste »

I am about the run tournament by styles. Which likes tacticals, positional moves or trades. Thanks for your all suggestions.

I've read those assessments. They pretty much right on the money.

Hi Ferdinand,

thanks!

Eren will have a lot of fun with Alfil.
I posted the sensational stats in the tournament selection.

A new tactical moster was born.
2x more won games as Spark is sensational ...

Playing style selection is updates and I wrote a bit in my current news.

This would be a good sparring partner for Deuterium :).

Hi Ferdinand,

oh yes, as sparing partner very interesting.

And Deuterium ...
Short question ...
To which time the next Deuterium update will be available?

I will follow the McMahon system tourney by Adam (read about your new version here).

Seems to be very interesting what Adam do ...
Like that a lot!!

And in my case ...
Deuterium will go in League 1 if around 25 Elo stronger. I believe Hakkapelliitta will kill Spike in League 1 and Deuterium must be better as Junior for a place here.

I think my new league system is much more interesting and later ... maybe I can start FCP League 3 ... next year!

Hi Looni,

and which each new statistics the results are the same to older stats I create.

Maybe playing style isn't the correct apprehension for collect strengths and weaknesses?!

I wrote this in the interview with Gian-Carlo Pascutto ... each engine need an own face. This is in combination with strength in Elo interesting.

Strength in Elo alone is to boring.
The reason that I try since years to find out more about TOP engines. And what I do is really simply. We can make it better but we need a lot of time for it ...

Thank you, I've tried Alfil against similarly rated engines and it indeed plays a refreshing style of chess - active and is a risk taking engine.

Hi,

again, 2x more short win games as Spark and Cheng in my League 2. And if your replay the games ... the comment must be ... WOW !!

But all the fast lost games on the other hand.
All in all ... a great program !!!

Time Management must be better ... lost to many time before the new time control started (repeadly time controls tested only).

Very interested in future versions, could be _my_ new Number 1, means from my favorits. Cheng at the morning in a hard fight with Spark here. Komodo is also on my list and Junior, ICE, Deuterium ... shit ... so many. All engines are important ... I like it all. But Alfil ...
