Why bother ? Just use the latest SDV and you're all set !
cos iam interesting for android version (droidfish or official android version)
Here are android ARM compiles for the latest development version of stockfish:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/896 ... 0907-arm64
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/896 ... 0907-arm32
Thx for offering us this compiles.

But they didn't run on droidfish 1.57 with the device Lenovo Tab 8S with Intel Atom 3745 CPU and OS Android 4.42.
Try this link instead.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/896 ... 0150907.7z

It contains all versions supported by the Android NDK.

Thx. But no compile works here with the Intel CPU 3745.

i would like to ask peter about his latest android compile 20150907 if its compiled by arm5(slower than arm7) or arm7 cos it look a bit slower than droidfish sf6 kn/s (10% slower) and to reach specific plies, or doesnt matter and its better than sf6 about 30 elo as the latest sf dv reached tx

How similar has the (latest) StockFish DV's been to the actual releases in the past? I downloaded StockFish DV #070915 (64 bit POPCNT) and this version has shown about 25 ELO increase, give or take a few points. I hope this figure improves when the final version is released!

A month later, almost 10 games played in the TCEC 8 Superfinal, and still no Stockfish 7, please release it so I can test for CEGT Blitz.

I just read this from the forum for the Stockfish developers: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgr ... P2PecX7C94

Apparently one of the developers prefers to wait until January to release it. I strongly oppose that, they're already over +50 elo stronger than SF6 and if they keep on waiting to make sure everything is perfect it will never be released, reasons will keep popping up to delay the release to make it more perfect.

It's not expected very soon guys. It think it is not sure pondering is not broken according to the tests from Ingo with 'Curiosity'. It think someone reported issue with Multi PV. Latest word from Joona:
Is it time for SF7? Soon, it will be. Again we will want to make a high quality release. We have just introduced new SMP implementation, and changed timer implementation, so we must not rush too much, to make sure that we give people enough time to test the new implementation and report any problems, and of course to see how we do in TCEC finals. So my current preference would be to release SF7 in early January 2016. We should have the same kind of 1-2 weeks freeze before the release as last time (We caught many important bugs last time during the freeze!).
Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first
place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

I do not see the problem.
I often download the latest developement version so I do not understand who needs stockfish7.

Developmental versions are similar to beta versions in that they're experimental to a degree.
Official releases are a statement.

Obviously as a member of a testing group, official releases are important.
If we tested a developmental version, it would be out of date by the next day or two.
