Re: Komodo strikes first at the TCEC Superfinal
human analysis by FIDE candidate master Tryfon Gavriel aka KingCrusher . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEEYRAy6HrU
What I took from his analysis is that Stockfish did not protect his King properly and by the time it started to try to focus on protecting its king it was too late.

Hi, should we qualify/classify this game as a Komodo "Immortal Game"? Certainly, is a magnificent display of positional knowledge!!
What do you think?

I think Komodo's king walk vs protector was something out of this world for a computer.Sean Evans wrote:Hi, should we qualify/classify this game as a Komodo "Immortal Game"? Certainly, is a magnificent display of positional knowledge!!

As of game eight all the games are draws except one. It seems when chess is played at ELO 3200+ we are seeing almost perfect chess, i.e. most of the games will be draws!
Cordially,
Sean

An 85+% draw rate is inevitable in my view. The question of the remaining 15% or less of games is, who can win more than the other.

I think game 8 was also a very impressive defensive game. I thought for sure that SF will win that game and really amazing how K9 managed to find resource after resource. I still feel SF might have missed something but I would have no clue what or where.

While I was sleeping Komodo hit again in game number 13. Stockfish was not able to convert its mass of pawns on the queenside.
