Fritz 15 has a date...

Post by fern »

Chessbase site already announces it with all its features and put a date of launching: 25 november.
I hope it can run in my old, venerable 32 bits machine.
Hope too NOT to be considered an employee of chessbase for posting this...

This is also the first fully authoritative confirmation that Vas Rajlich has indeed been working on Fritz 15. I am looking forward to seeing how much Elo he has added to it. Could Fritz finally return to the ranks of top chess engines?

I would expect it to be rated at least 3200 on CCRL, which is Rybka 4 + 40 Elo. Still a long way behind Komodo and Stockfish, but on a trajectory to soon pass Houdini and become clear #3.

If Fritz comes back, with Vas, then why not put them ALL in it? houdini, rybka, toga, fruit, shredder 7.04, fritz, mephisto, psion, boris, bronstien, the Turk?

What can i run the Turk on these days?
oh, maybe the turk was dissassembled as was deep blue.

The Chessbase site says:

New 64 Bit –Fritz multiprocessor engine
Improved 64 Bit- and 32 Bit program interface

So no 32 bit engine, just GUI?

In case i want to install the GUI on multiple computers, DVD-Box is the best option or direct download?
