Fritz 15 - underpromotions of pawns

Post by Norbert Raimund Leisner »

Hello, I have a question to Fritz 15 online manual http://help.chessbase.com/f15-eng.pdf , page 40: Options - Game

The feature "always promote to queen" is disabled - but which settings (off-normal-aggressive) do you prefer for "single-click entry" and "premove" that Fritz 15 can convert a pawn into a bishop, knight or rook?

If your choice is "single click entry - aggressive", do you press the combination of your keyboard STRG-SHIFT before the pawn will be promoted?

For Fritz 8, Peter Schreiner of ChessBase support describes that problem in German language here: "Umwandlungsprobleme" http://scleinzell.schachvereine.de/p_cb ... 8_01.shtml

Best wishes,
Norbert

I prefer "Normal" for Single-click Entry and don't use Premove.
Neither option will auto-underpromote, AFAIK.

Here's the HTML version of the Fritz 15 manual - loads faster and easier to navigate than the PDF.
