An alternative solution is 72.- ..., Qb7+; 73.- Kxb7.
I tried SF 6 and it saw mate in 10 after 64.- ..., h2 was played.
Then I tried Houdini 3 w32 (mate search = 74) and I randomly analyzed on some positions. After 52.- Bc1 was played, here is what Houdini got:
Bingo! Checkmate in 74 - 52 = 22 found! ..., Bb6+ is played before than in the solution but the result is the same.
I stopped the analysis after 21 minutes and 13 seconds; there were 1978 TB hits to the full set of 5-man Nalimov EGTB at that moment. I used the two cores of an Intel Pentium D930 (3 GHz) of year 2006; hash size was 1 GB and EGTB hash was 64 MB.

I thought on 1.- Bf4 but was not able to see the bishop route f4-e3-c1-a3-d6. Copying the solution from superproblem.ru:Michael Diosi wrote:Hi,

Re: Mate in 74.
Is there any place to get the problems from superproblem.ru in EPD format?
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.
