That chess program could beat over 90 percent of all chess players. We, at the CTF/CCC are in the upper one to five percent of all chess players. If you looked at my moves you saw that I was looking ahead at least five moves and set up a trap to force the black queen to either be forked without compensation or go down the exchange, taking a rook as I captured the black queen. Trappy game. Fischer would have laughed at my play but he would see the thought that went into it. I am no more than a 1900 elo chess player but that is in the upper one to two percent of all chess players. Good enough. Next time I play V. Putin, I will let him win and humiliate me. T

Chess is only a nice game if you are winning. Otherwise it's the opposite. So if you take the average their is no gain unless you are a good loser too.

your engine didn't see mate in 4 plies (2 moves), which I consider impossible.

The only reasonable explanation of black moves - from time to time engine do not play searched/analyzed move but rather randomly pick any legal move.

Even very weak engine (MS-DOS Rebel) in fraction of a second reach D=3 (6 plies), and select correct move 11. .. Qd8, which is quite hard to win.

But black play 11. .. Rf8??, a move which none engine will select even at D=1 ply
and set up a trap to force the black queen to either be forked without compensation or go down the exchange
it was not trap. 11. .. Rf8 was random move, equally bad to direct Queen give away: 11. .. Qc3 12. bxc3

Black played Rf8 not being in trap. 11. .. Qd8 and black feel fine.

After Rf8?? white have 40 legal moves and 31 of them are white win.

What am I missing? I believe I would have tried 13. Nxa5 and on Rxa5 14. Qd2 Ra6 15. Nc7 etc.

Notice that black's queen is trapped and can't escape without a mate in one with the white knight. I forced the exchange and eliminated a rook at the same time. White then won easily. T
