Booot 6.0.2

Post by booot »

Here is bugfixed version of my engine. I have made big delay between releases, so i forget how to make stable programs, sorry :-)

No changes in engine logics, only fix some uci routines that made engine crash in x32 mode and pondering.

Code: Select all

   6 SmarThink 1.96 SSE4 x64 : 2905.60 838 60.0 241 523 74 502.5 62.4 13.62 2833.39 14.85 47.4
  25 Booot 5.2.0 x64 : 2828.92 728 49.9 131 465 132 363.5 63.9 13.81 2829.50 14.82 47.4
Endgame move stats ... games with 100-299 moves!

Please not looking on Elo only ... engine with a high move average (normely with extrem contempt) avaid draw in the beginning, more games goes in endgame and in endgame we have more draw games ... Elo will be higher in endgames from engines avoids draw in the beginning.

Good examples:
Houdini, DiscoCheck ... extrem contempt!

But Quazar, Booot and SmarThink ... I am sure the endgame strength is real without such tricky settings. This Group of engines have a very high move average without resign mode. Again ... I believe the endgame strength is real.

Could be very interesting in my list if Booot is running ...
Place 6 is to kill ...

I am thinking that the russian programs have the good and old russian style.

:-)

Quazar was a promising engine indeed ...

Frank, have you got any news from Dmitriy Mozorov, Quazar 's programmer ?

I wanted to contact him about a bug in Quazar.

It doesn't recognize in endgame that sole opposite bishop of promotion square of -h or -a column against sole opponent king is draw.

It has a tendancy to enter into this endgame thinking is completely winning (we can notice it in its evaluation)

CEGT 40/4 test can be followed here:

http://cegt.forumieren.com/t634-testing-booot-6-0-1-x64

For our 5'+3" list with Ponder=ON we will of course use version 6.0.2

Or the one which is actual then... :D
