There is a new version of Hannibal circulating and ready for download on many sites. The engine has participated shortly before in TCEC 2016 til Stage 2 (Hannibal 100616, should be nearly identical, I guess) and in the Deep Fritz 14 online tournament (Clemens Keck). The playing strength seemed to be increased with a hefty dose of Elo. However, I haven’t seen an official release by the authors in CCC like in 2015, and the program is not yet mentioned by the rating-teams for testing purpose. Have I missed something or have I made a detection?

I heard that the authors were planning to release it right after TCEC was done for them.

We are still working out some bugs and we will release in a week or two. Please don't test yet that beta version for the rating lists.
