What wonderful news!
Do you plan to develop Shredder now more continually again? :)

Great work! Thanks to Stefan and Shredderchess team.

I was wondering what gift I would make to myself for my next/close birthday. Choose the single-core Shredder 13, quite affordable at 50€ and surely value the money. Easy buy, easy download & install (I am using Win7).

Happy birthday to me! :D

Yes !!

It seems very strong.

Although I had problems under Arena2.01 in very fast games I got time control issues. Shredder13 engine overstepped time. This did not happen in shredder GUI, so it is Arena not beeing fast enough for 40/3 with shredder.
I had to increase time control to 40/5.

Thorsten,

Shredder for linux should be less expensive because it is missing features.

"Shredder 13 Windows runs on all Windows PCs with at least Windows Vista including Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10."

So it doesn't work on Windows XP? ...

I had no problems with shredder12 either.
There is a parameter that allows to setup the time in seconds remaining when the time control is used, time buffer=1.
By setting it higher, e.g. 3 or 5, shredder will not use all time but let these 5 seconds of its consideration time as buffer. E.g. When the GUI is slow and eats time...
Hope by increasing the time buffer the problem is gone,

Yes, the Linux GUI is still Java.

Probably not, but I haven't tested that.
You can try the Shredder Classic 5 demo version. If that runs fine on XP then Shredder 13 and Deep Shredder 13 will also work there.

Yes, I hope Shredder 14 won't need that much time :-)
