I want to finish stage 1 as it is. If there are good contenders for top 4 seeds due to updates, I will reconsider it.

Well, it is your tourney. It just seems strange to have the same two egines play each other twice. The chance that the second 24 games will end differently from the first 24 games is pretty slim.

I get this error for the calendar:
"Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them."

This crazyhouse calendar is connected to my personal email account. There are more than 2 calendars in this account, this is why I did not make this public. It could have been viewed normally but something was wrong in google based from reading similar problems.

I tried to embed it again, check if it works for you.
