Now we change the 50 mover rule. It is outdated!
We then also change the en passant. It is outdated!
It is unfair only PAWN can use this one.
But if my opponent plays the d7-d5, it should be fair enough every piece can now capture on the square of d6: also Bishop Night Castle and King can do.
Agree? I say yes! We can make the chess better.
We can change the rules same same time. So it is easy for the programer.

Another great improvement would be to make a piece (other than King) that captures a Queen instantly promote to Queen. This makes trading Queens out of the game very hard, which makes for much more interesting games.

If you want to change things make your own chess game and see how that goes. More power to you in your new rules and new chess game.

... and a promoted Rook in the e-file should be allowed to castle with its King as long as there are no enemy attacks against the King who moves 2 squares, and the King has not previously moved, and of course, no other pieces in the e-file.

Yeah!...If Belgium may have two kings (King Albert and King Filip) why not have two kings and only one knight in Chess? You see, in Belgium, however, the principle is: "Once king, always king."hgm wrote:Another great improvement would be to make a piece (other than King) that captures a Queen instantly promote to Queen.
