McBrain 2017

Post by MikeB »

Latest stockfish source (1/5/2017) updated with play by ELO, Study Mode, Fast Play and Cerebellum - renamed at the request of the stockfish authors to avoid confusion with official stockfish releases. macOS executables are included at Github

Source:
https://github.com/MichaelB7/Stockfish/ ... s/tag/v1.0

More information about Cerebellum and Brainfish by Thomas Zipproth can be found here:

http://www.zipproth.de- click on the brainfish tab

Cerebellum Book
http://www.zipproth.de/Brainfish/Cerebe ... 170104.zip

The use the Cerebellum book will increase ELO by about 30 ELO. It can be used by itself or with a GUI book.

If anyone can compile windows or linux versions, please PM me and I will provide a an upload link for you to send the executables to me.

There was one small search tweak that shows some promise:

Code: Select all

Rank	Name Rating Δ	+	- # Σ Σ% W L D W% =% OppR
1	McBrain 2017 v1.0 3106 0.0	6	6	1000	517.0	51.7	201	167	632	20.1	63.2	3094
2	Stockfish 050117	3094	11.3	6	6	1000	483.0	48.3	167	201	632	16.7	63.2	3106

Likelihood of Superiority:
McBrain 2017 v1.0 64 POPC 95
Stockfish 050117 64 POPC 4
Again, many thanks to all those who work on Stockfish and help make this great chess engine available to all.

Michael B the engine is uci, winboard, etc? Thank you very much for this engine, in the fritz15 gui does not work and also in the aquarium 2017. Would there be any solution for this?

Perhaps problem is my compilation.
I have realized know the 32_bit_old is not correct.
If you want, you can download it from https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0D6J ... DdadGltU3M

To know if they works you could execute any of them from windows explorer, if a console appears, write uci and enter.
32_bit_old version should work in any windows version.

Lucas Monge thank you very much, I am testing your compilation for 64 bit pop cnt in the aquarium 2017 uci seems to work, although the processor consumption is only 22 percent. I'm facing the brianfish. Very grateful for your collaboration with me.

I think the Author Name field might be to long, as I cannot get this (McBrain_2017_x64_bmi2) file to load in Chessbase/ Fritz GUI. I can get it to load in Shredder GUI, but the name author field is blank. I can place a name in the Shredder GUI and complete the installation however. The same cannot be said of Chessbase/ Fritz.
