By far the the most entertaining game, since a long time.
But not forget, that every masterpiece was created by two players. Carlsen, with his incredible technical calculation abilty, did not flinched away from 11...Bxa3.

You said, none of your engines could find 11.a3. Maybe because the cold blooded monster, with no sense for beauty, simply neutralizes the sacrifice and assesses it as not promising enough?
Certainly, if you analyze the position after 11.a3, you get some meaningful ouptut.
