Details, source and exe's for Windows, Linux and Macs - both 64 and 32 bit.

now ...Start your Engines!!
Something changed for the worse it appears. I run McBrain 2.6 (and now 2.7) on Linux using Wine. With 2.6, the UCI_Limit_Strength option shows in the window you get when you choose to configure McBrain in Arena 3.5.1.

However, with McBrain 2.7, the UCI_Limit_Strength option does NOT show, so it is not possible to make use of the UCI_Elo option (since that does not take effect without UCI_Limit_Strength being checked as active).

If there is something that can be done to make McBrain 2.7's UCI options display properly, that would be much appreciated!
Hopefully this updates works for Arena, I can only test on MacOS:

https://github.com/MichaelB7/Stockfish/ ... 908217.zip

No need to download unless you are using the the UCI LimitStength feature under Windows or Linux. The macOS versions are exactly the same as the UCI_LimitStrength was working there. Playing functionality is exactly the same as released earlier.

Sorry, but the same issue exists with this build. I tested on Linux Mint 18.2 using Wine running Arena 3.5.1.

I'm using the bmi2 .exe, in case that matters. I do have a CPU that supports bmi2 compiles.

The date stamp on the .exe is Sep 2 also -- is this the old .exe by mistake?

Can you try one of the non bmi binaries? 9/2 date is correct - been on vacation.

I tried the "regular" .exe and same thing. I'm not sure how to attach a screenshot here, but I captured one. If you can tell me how to post a .png file here, I'll do it.
