TCEC 10: Fantastic Fizbo move

[d]r2q1rk1/1pp2pP1/3p2p1/p1n3B1/2PN2b1/2N5/PP1nB3/R2K3R w - - 0 19

This position is from Fizbo-Bobcat, TCEC 10 stage 1, round 20.

After a very wild game Bobcat has just captured white's queen by 18... Nxd2, with lots of other pieces hanging.

Try to guess what amazing move Fizbo played here.

A lot of winning moves, Fizbo's was not the best. No wonder it don't qualify to 2. stage.

I agree that it (Nf5!) is a nice move from a Human point ofview. OTH the profane and simple gxf8Q+ is at least as good.

It seems for computer analysis the position already after 10. Qd2 is much more interesting.
I guess the played 10...a5? is already losing, because Black cannot afford a tempo waste on the Q-side after it castled (too?) early!?
IMHO there are only Qe8! and may be Bd7 to hold the game.

What scores do your engines give for 10...Qe8 or 10...Bd7 and do they avoid other moves?

Sometimes I wonder if some of you TC guys actually look at the positions (rather than just copying/pasting the FEN into your GUI and starting the engine).

Personally, I thought gxf8+ was simplest, yeah.

This was after gazing at the position for maybe 90 seconds.

P.S Not trying to sound condescending with my comment, but it perplexes me at times that the CHESSPLAYER in some people here is never sparked and curious to have a go and solving a position.

Being a data transmission person for Stockfish sounds a bit more boring to me.

Why not try to solve it yourself, and then check your solution with the engine?

Anyway, guys...have fun. Fizbo is indeed a great engine.
