Komodo is now set to come top in stage one of TCEC 10

With all the reviews of how crushing SF was, in season 9, and obviously to have improved a lot since then, whilst Komodo was only set to improve about 5 elo points per month since then, Komodo is now to win stage one of TCEC and SF to come second.

Houdini might even only TIE for third place with Andscacs. I mean, if they both draw their final games, then i think that puts houdini in 3rd but i'm not sure. One minute! Andscacs has Gull, and Houdini has Rybka, and Gull would give more tiebreak points to whoever draws to it.

But my question is, has Komodo REALLY got on top of SF again? I mean, has SF stopped being on top of Komodo?

I KNOW it is not enough games. But next round might be exciting!

I HOPE Komodo again made its 5 elo increase this past month also!!!!

Seems Komodo development has out-stripped Stockfish over the last 12 months, really impressive. I don't see SF winning the final.

Hi Ray, for me that conclusion seems a bit premature. I would give Stockfish and Komodo about equal chances to take it. Even Houdini has good chances, still I favor Stockfish and Komodo more based on what I've seen in stage one.

I noticed the 2 draws from SF and was disappointed. The latest SF Dev shows as the strongest yet....my tests show it +50 Elo over SF8.

When the newer versions are used in the later rounds we will get a better picture....everyone is sandbagging right now.

The big story in round 1 has got to be Booot possibly advancing due to its "disconnection" win against Fizbo. Booot, Fire, Gull, and Chiron are fighting for positions 6-7-8. One of them won't make it.

I tried to calmly reason with them regarding the foolishness and unfairness of awarding a win to the losing engine in the Fizbo-Booot game (when Fizbo "disconnected" in a winning position) because it would distort the final standings, and nearly got myself banned for it.
