Frank: here is the PGN of all games 20 moves or shorter from my CCRL tests using FEOBOSv10-contempt4:

FEOBOSv10-c4-short-games.zip

100 games, all draws except for one game that Fritz 16 lost to SF9 in 20 moves.

Unfortunately, the full-size FEOBOS cannot be used at CCRL, as the rules prohibit book lines longer that 12 moves. In fact, the general tendency is to use much shorter books, like two-move and three-move ones. Nevertheless, your post got me thinking and I had another look at my custom 6-move edit of your FEOBOSv10-contempt4 PGN that I used extensively over the past couple of months and discovered something I didn't expect or like at all: 51 ECO codes missing from the edit (i.e. only 449 present in the book).

After examining the combined PGNs of all the games played used this edit I was relieved to find that just because the book doesn't contain all the ECO codes it doesn't mean they will be completely absent from the actual games played using this book. In other words, the engines found a way to recreate more than half of the missing codes by themselves, with the number of the games ranging from just one (for some of the longer lines) to 10-14.

Still, I was not quite happy about this (limitless horizons, remember?) so I'm glad to report that I just finished doing a new 10-move edit of your new FEOBOSv20.1. Since you recommended the Contempt-3 set I used that as the base.

The new custom edit has 29,340 lines (compared to 33,009 in the official version), most of them 10-moves long, with just seven 11-movers and three 12-movers to accommodate the longest lines acceptable to CCRL. Only three ECO codes are left out from this version: C99, D69 and D89, all of which are formed after at least 13 moves and thus exceed the 12-move length limit.

In conclusion, here are some stats on the 28,000+ games.
