thx for confirming Nc4 as best move...as im interstetd in the time that was needed to find it...does "time 74088" means that C-fish needed 74088 ms or how to translate in seconds ?
74 seconds.

Actually, I think Peter might be correct. Upon returning to the computer, I now see:

Don't have time now to examine the PV.

wow, wow, wow....if this is true i am nearly sure that the position i posted in a former thread
http://talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 72&t=64806
is indeed won for black if black plays ne6 !?
unfortunately i have no possibilities (no 6-men TB's or access to Lomonosov TB's) to verify that...if u both are right with this, this position should be won for black !!?:
[d]8/4k3/R4pp1/6np/7P/p4NP1/5PK1/r7 b - - 0 1
Ne6 wins !??

this would be the mainline then:
[d]8/4k3/R4pp1/6np/7P/p4NP1/5PK1/r7 b - - 0 1
1. ... Ne6 2. Nd2 Nc5 3. Ra7+ Ke6 4. Nc4
0:1

also consider that these positions are lost for white:
[d]8/8/2k2p2/7p/6pP/2NK2P1/5P2/r7 w - - 0 1

I'd say yes, Peer.

But I'm even less able to prove it then with the later position we already discussed here.

Lines like this one

8/4k3/R4pp1/6np/7P/p4NP1/5PK1/r7 b - - 0 1

1... Ne6 2. Nd2 Nc5 3. Ra7+ Ke6 4. Nc4 a2 5. Ne3 Nd3 6. Ra6+ Ke5 7. f4+ Ke4 8. Nc2 Nc5 9. Ra3 Rd1 10. Rxa2 Rd2+ 11. Kf1 Rh2 12. Kg1 Re2 13. Kf1 Rd2 14. Kg1 f5 15. Rb2 Nd3

are a few moves too long to keep the winning eval with full Syzygys in hash back to starting position for my hardware.

Maybe Louis can do it again, otherwise I'd simply have to stick to believing.

Position 74 of hard2016beta6.epd, Poor Fish thread linked above.
This one ? :
[d]1k1n4/1p1b1p2/1Bp1pPp1/1PP1P3/8/6P1/8/1K6 w - - acd 55; acs 211; bm Bc7+; c3 "Bc7+"; ce 32714; dm 27; id "yacpdb id 293779"; pm Bc7+; pv Bc7+ Ka7 Bb8+ Ka8 b6 Kxb8 Kc1 Ka8 Kd2 Bc8 Ke2 Bd7 Kf3 Be8 Kf4 Kb8 Kg5 Bd7 g4 Kc8 Kh6 Be8 Kg7 Kd7 Kf8 g5 Kg7 Kc8 Kh6 Kb8 Kxg5 Ka8 Kh6 Bd7 Kg7 Bc8 Kf8 Bd7 Ke7 Bc8 Kxd8 Kb8 g5 Ka8 Kc7 Bd7 Kxd7 Kb8 g6 fxg6 f7 g5 f8=Q+;
I know it's not the position, but for what it's worth:

Code: Select all
