Now, the previous hardware setup had about the same throughput as Deep Blue (considering that the Ipman test set has lots of open positions, the 200M NPS of deep blue {with bursts of a billion} was probably about the same as the 277M NPS measured for the 4x Intel Xeon Platinum 8180 4x28c/56t. But the 431M Nps for the 8x Intel Xeon Platinum 8168 8x24c/48t is surely the fastest chess machine that was ever built.

I would love to see that machine combat AlphaZero.

That is not that much impressive as you think.
If this post is true, that 384 core machine that Bojun was using is twice more powerful than that 8xPlatinum conf (unless he was using HT than it is on par).
