Bad day at the stock market?

Post by Dann Corbit »

Since the 11.5 million game mark, the graph has started to look like a bad day at the stock market:

Anyone know what is going on there?
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Probably unstable for a while. Can't draw a conclusion yet. If it was a stock I still would not buy a put option. If level of 5500 would be broken then it is getting serious.

According to the forums (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/lczero) they made changes a few days ago, and are now reverting and making fixes. You can see more in detail here: http://training.lczero.org/#scalars
"Tactics are the bricks and sticks that make up a game, but positional play is the architectural blueprint."

Bear market, or at least a major correction.

One could even begin to count the Elliott waves. :|

Graph looking worse now. If it sets a lower low, direction will be clear: Down. When it goes up and sets next lower top buy a put option (insurance) or sell.

I am playing 40/120 games on an i7 against zappa2 Mexico (t2). Looks not bad for lczero.
I would say lczero (t4) is slightly stronger on the old GeForce 940.

2200 KNPS versus 350 NPS.

Graph doesn't show what happened in first 7.5 million games. If I let Skipper play hundred games I already get bored for having to wait so long.

So 7.5 million games is not nothing but in contrary already a tremendous long time/effort or not.

Try harder to find the full elo graph.
Hint: it's named 'full elo graph' ;-)

Found it.

That gives a total different view. Looks like progress only stagnated and for how long.

Most efficient was from scratch (only) play 2.5 million games and then revise method.
