might it be possible to add a "distance to 50 move rule" as H6 has it implemented ?...this would be a very helpful option imho for analysing.
i like the McCain-engine ardy very much and like to say THANK YOU to MikeB and wish him success and fun with his new projekt !

im pretty sure im not the only one who'd like to benefit from such a possibility, hopefully its implementable
with this option settable im convinced that very hard positions like these are solvable then (without much back and forth-analysis) eg :

while im ardy impressed with McCain, furthermore id like to ask 2 simple things additionally:
1. what is this "UCI-ELO"-option...its set to 1500 by default (minimum (same with McBrain)) and can be set to max 2800 ??
2. what is this "ICCF analysis"-option...what can i do/change with it ??

I think the Makefile didn't include the -static option so didn't link some libraries. But I'm on vacation now and can't send recompiled exe's to Michael for about a week or so....

I can't seem to get a Cerebellum book to work with the latest static compiles of McCain/McBrain. The engine prints an info string telling me the book is loaded, but it doesn't play book moves.

EDIT: I restarted the engine, and it was OK. It seemed to require that before using the book.
