Hi Richard,
Any chance we will see a native Linux compile of The Baron?

I did not really plan one. I'm using the Baron with wine in linux (both 32 and 64 bits) myself without any problems, so the need for a native compile seems limited to me.

Richard.
I found the problem and Ray has in the meantime checked it as well. I sent a new package to Steve (version 3.44.1), where the Chess960 support is fixed. That is the only change, so it does not make sense to test this version alongside 3.44 for standard chess. Only a 64-bits version is provided in this package.

The FRC fix must have introduced something which is identified by Windows Defender as a virus. Consequently, I can't download the updated file.

Just Disable your Windows Defender, and you will download the file. When you download it, you can enable it again... :) :)

I'm not so sure that would work. As soon as Defender does a scheduled scan it would quarantine it again, and when you try to run it you may have problems as well. But I'm pretty sure Defender allows you to specify files that you want it to ignore, so that is probably the answer.
