Thanks for the info Norbert.

I have added both programs to the XB/UCI chronology.
For the second one I use currently the name 'CossonJCE' (Cosson JavaChessEngine)

Some caveats though:
Franky often uses more cpu than allowed (probably polling on more threads?) and also seems to leak memory.
CossonJCE sometimes spikes some more cpu at the beginning of the move.

Here a quick test under WB.
(you have to click at the 3 dots in the line above the board to load the second game)

Hi,

I've made a new release of FrankWalter (2.2.8) which should fix some bugs (and be a better improvement over 2.2.3 than 2.2.6 appears to be in CCRL 40/4:-)

I can't get Frank Walter working in ChessGUI.

Got it working by ticking wb2 and java.

Great:-)

I'm working on restructuring the user interface code, and I hope this will allow me to support UCI too one day. But when I looked at it last weekend, it didn't look particularly easy with FrankWalter being rooted in the xboard protocol.

Yes, WB-2 and Java is the right choice in reference to ChessGUI - for other graphical interfaces that do not support jar-files, the shareware Jar2exe Wizard http://www.jar2exe.com/downloads is surely an option
