According to GM Kramnik GM Kaspatov was better than Deep Blue back in 1997, but did NOT played his best game and fifteen years years later, one of Big Blue's designers says the move was the result of a bug in Deep Blue's software which caused Kasparov to believe that human Grandmasters were involved in selecting that particular move and from that point on Kasparov played poorly.
