The answer is actually given away in the image posted, but in the Caro-Kann Black brings his Q-Bishop out before playing e6 and then may retreat it to h7. If Black then plays g6 the bishop will become trapped. Anyway, I thought Komodo had gotten over its trapped piece problem.
