I think this one should be legal (though the e.p. is superfluous):Dann Corbit wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 3:49 am [d]r1q1k1r1/1n1n1b1b/p1p1p1p1/1p1p1p1p/1P1P1P1P/P1P1P1P1/1N1N1B1B/R1Q1K1R1 w Qq -

you can maintain the structure of the first one and keep to the bishop pair by vertical flipping a bishop pair. Does that help?Dann Corbit wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 3:56 amI think this one should be legal (though the e.p. is superfluous):Dann Corbit wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2019 3:49 am [d]r1q1k1r1/1n1n1b1b/p1p1p1p1/1p1p1p1p/1P1P1P1P/P1P1P1P1/1N1N1B1B/R1Q1K1R1 w Qq -

The first one I posed had both bishops on the same color, and all the pawns were present, so not possible.
This second one adheres to the spec and is 80 characters. Is there a bigger one possible?
