Minic is seeing a growing score for black quite fast. SF too ... :D
But I cannot get better than -4 in less than 3 minutes or so.

Code: Select all

41 -402 20249 514585794 55 2541 229273	d3c4 f5g4 b2b4 a4b3 c4b3 g4g3 a3a4 e6e5 b3c2 e5e4 a4a5 e4e3 c2d3 g3f3 a5a6 e3e2 a6a7 e2e1q a7a8q f3g3 d3d4 e1f2 d4c4 g3h4 a8e4 h4g5 e4e5 f2f5 e5e7 g5g4 e7e2 f5f3 e2e1 g6g5 c4b5 h5h4 e1g1 g4f4 g1d4 f4g3 d4g1 f3g2
This is hard because in many many lines both color promote to queen so this is a delaying check hell.

I'll let it search deeper today ...

I have one engine that thinks it's a dead draw and another that thinks Black is winning.

I have a deeper PV and a bigger score now

Which engine thinks it's a dead draw? POS?

I tested with SF and Jumbo, both say Black is clearly winning.

I don't wish to embarrass the author, but it is just below the top twelve.

Well, soon there are 2 queens on the board, yes black is ahead, but it is very hard to avoid perpetual, or at least very very long delaying checks

https://lichess.org/analysis/standard/8 ... -_-_0_1#27

Evaluation of the position is not that simple.

But I guess if two engines plays the game for real, black always win even at short TC.

win for black

[d]8/8/4p1p1/7p/7P/PK4k1/8/8 w - - 0 4

This position is a loss for white based on the 7 piece tablebases and white has no good alternative to this position.
