The AMD Ryzen 9 3950X coming out in a few months , has an integer Geekbench score of 77K , compared to the Ryzen 7 3700X integer Geekbench of 31K. Roughly extrapolating 77/31 * 23869 ( nps shown below in snapshot for the 3700 ) , projects the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X to be 59297k/nps in this position (the position used in the snapshot).

[d]1q6/1r2k1p1/4pp1p/1P1b1P2/3Q4/7P/4B1P1/2R3K1 w - - 0 1

Not an exact science , but it does directly corelate and it will be plus or minus 5%, 95 % of the time for processors that are similar in nature.

As comparison, my 2010 12 Core Mac Pro shows 25,506k/nps in the same position.

I''m waiting for the 3950, but the processors released today are exceptional value for nps/$.

Are complete 3900x systems available anywhere?
Ideally, with user-configurable options.

Cyber power is one of the better priced options online. That let you configure the system you want. And it is ready for your 3900x configuration.

But please build it yourself. It will be better built and cost less.

I looked at cyber power. They don't offer the sort of RAM I want, and the max they offer is 32 GB.

I was just looking at a stop-gap system. But I will wait for the commercial CPUs or maybe the threadripper, depending on how it tuns out

I would wait for threadripper. My system is ready, all I need is the 3rd gen Threadripper CPU to replace the 2950x. 3rd gen threadripper will be epic....

The commercial stuff is more powerful, but a lot more expensive. The commercial stuff should be ready in September, since that is the end of Q3. If they stick to their schedule, that is.

If the new Threadripper has 64 cores, it will be a barn burner.

I will let you buy the 64 core threadripper. I plan on buying the 32 core. And add 1 more rtx card to rebalance my testing system.
