Marvin 3.4.0

Post by Martin »

I have just released Marvin 3.4.0. My tests show a 100 elo improvement compared to version 3.3.2, but that's probably a bit optimistic. Most of the improvements comes from more aggressive LMP and improvements to history heuristic. I have also done some refactoring of the move generation and move selection code. It didn't give that much in terms of elo, but the code is a lot cleaner.

Note that the opening book has been updated, so if you're running tests with the engines own book then make sure to update book.bin. Also thanks to Elorejano for reporting some issues with reading of the opening book. Hopefully they should all be fixed.
