chess22k 1.13 released

Post by sandermvdb »

I have just released chess22k 1.13. This is mainly a bugfix/code-cleanup release which is about 20 elo stronger than the previous version.

You can run it under Shredder by creating the .eng file manually. Here is mine, you can modify the parts that are different for your environment:

[ENGINE]
Name=chess22k 1.13 64-bit
Author=Sander Maassen vd Brink
Filename=c:\Program Files\Java\jdk-11.0.1\bin\java.exe
Parameter=-Xmx1024M -jar e:\Sakk\UCI-engines\chess22k\chess22k-1.13.jar

Note that it won't run with java 8.

Ok Thanks Gabor S. for the info.....You get it to work in Fritz and ChessOk as UCI? I may still have java 8 0n win 10 and XP
I will check that and experiment with the settings...PS You been able to get Fischerle_0_9_70_SE_64_or_32 to work on ChessOK Fritz or Shredder GUI's? Thx AR :D :wink:

Ps: Ronja settings?
pss:Koedem?
...Leokom Chess?
psss:Pirarucu Settings?

chess22k is the only java engine I have installed under Shredder. I have never been able to run any java engines under Fritz.

I have been able to get the Carballo 1.7 java engine working ok in Fritz 13 in Windows 10.
I don't have any other java engines in my collection.
I had to use Polyglot.exe with a Polyglot.ini file to make it an xboard engine, and then Wb2Uci.exe with a Wb2Uci.eng file to convert it back to a UCI engine which could then be installed in the Fritz GUI.
The Polyglot.exe, Polyglot.ini, Wb2Uci.exe and Wb2Uci.eng all had to be in the same folder as the Carballo files or it did not work.

Pure GENIUS my friend.....Congrats AR
I usually try and separate out the jar.exe and rename it Carballo 1.7 jar or something and then use a wb2uci adapter to get it to run in Shredder Fritz or the Chess Ok guis as a xboard -xboard or -uci engine... Windows XP is easier than windows 10 for most..Engines I got to work for testing...Tiffany, Alf 1.09 java, Brembo CE, Arabian Night, Chessbot X, DeepBrute pos 2.1, Cupcake 1.1, Eden 0013, Frittle 1.0, Oilthink 4.12, Animats Java CE, Frank Walter Java, Talvmenni Java, Pos 1.2 java, Chess4j Java, Ronja Java....most worked as xboard....Shredder Gui was best...many would not work in Fritz Gui... :) :wink:
