237 Mn/s for Stockfish on an 2xEPYC 7742

The new EPYC 7742 runs Stockfish quite fast !
The EPYC 7502 is new as well.

But now, Stockfish at 1 Mn/s is stronger than Deep Blue at 200 Mn/s. 8-)

But lc0 plays better chess on 1 NPS.

I would guess at 100K to 200K nps. Stockfish would be stronger. Deep Blue was around 2875 elo.


So Deep Blue from 1997 is equal to the DGT Centaur from 2019...

Get ready ... ZEN 3 design is finished and is ready for tape out...or so I here.

It would be nice if Threadripper were released on Zen3 and the 7nm+ plus node.

Stockfish should be GM level even at 100 n/s classical time control.
