Chess program M.A.N.I.A.C.

Unfortunately, the official site link to the program does not work. Tried to search the internet link to the program in different languages, it was all to no avail. Tried to contact the author of the program for contacts listed on the site. Received no response. If anyone has this program, please let me know.

In this program, you can not change (set) the initial position of the figures. It is necessary that the board was 2 times more pieces. For example, like this:

It's just a chess board 16x16 in C + +

ChessV. This program has so many different options boards, but it does not have 16x16.

Tried to install WinBoard Alien Edition and Xboard Alien on Linux. Did not find the board 16x16.

Does anyone have engine that plays on the board 16x16 (classic chess) ???

P.S. Sorry for my bad English

No, because those who want a bigger board will play Shogi.

I do not think they will play shogi.

Basically the reason for playing shogi is probably that you are from japan and you are used for the rules of it.
Most people not from japan even do not know the rules of shogi and the main difference between shogi and chess is not a bigger board.

I do not say bigchess is going to replace chess because people usually do not like changes but if chess players have to choose between bigchess and shogi I guess most of them are going to choose bigchess when they not need to learn movements of new type of pieces.
