The strangest thing is that we're talking about open source software. It's not a mystery how tweaking of Aggressiveness or Cowardice, Mobility or Space worked, because the code is still there for everyone to see.

For all the engines in history that have allowed the user to create personalities as simple as tweaking the value of a pawn, a Stockfish we can tinker with is long overdue.

Sure, I can make it available, Carl :) See Bluefish BMI2 (Beta).
No guarantees it has "style" though. It's just a half hour work or so, not a real Stockfish variant or fork yet.
Eelco , Your compile is no good. Closes as soon as the exe opens.
Hi John, I added a general compile now at the same link in the Rybka forum, that should run on your processor, if it is at least 64 bits x86.

Hi Eelco, Can you or someone else provide the source so I can make a macOS exe?

Hi Mike, sure, as it's GPL I added the sources in the .7z archive. It is just on the Rybka forum thread? It should compile as a regular stockfish. The changes are in types.h, evaluate.cpp and material.cpp. The original files are always renamed to evaluate_def.cpp etc. but the makefile will not read those.

If anyone thinks it has just no style whatsoever I hope they will just say so, it was more meant as a starting point.
