My guesses and whys:
1. HGM (variant)
2. Mclaine (Mephisto, Dedicated)
3. Uri Blass (thanks)
4. Ed Schroder (Prodeo)
5. Larry Kaufman (Fischer, Kasparov, Kramnik)
6. Dann Corbit (Science, Reason, Question)
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Very good.
1. Is hgm, correct
2. Is indeed mclane, correct
3. Is incorrect
4. Is Ed Schroder, correct
5. Incorrect
6. Incorrect

I did think the wordclouds were sort of technically boring, the CTF ones are way more fun(!), but the suggestions being offered for the wrong ones, 3,5 and 6 are, for me anyway, utterly fascinating. I didn’t realise that somehow, something is being shown that people are picking up on.

Nobody tried to guess 3 or 5, yet, but we had four shots at 6, all wrong, me, Ed, Bob, a private suggestion of Vas (it isn’t) and you picked yourself. In their own way, each one a sort of star of the forum at one time or another. Interesting, as they say, especially when I know who it actually is.

This is like an online fingerprint/dna :) I can envision what mine will be ... engine authors are pretty predictable i think.

A more interesting question is if 3, 5 or 6 can recognize themselves :)
Your beliefs create your reality, so be careful what you wish for.

I give you a clue, 3,5 and 6 are not engine authors nor programmers

Well, as of lunchtime in Europe, each wordcloud png has been downloaded 235 times, or more accurately 234, 235, 235 downloads for each one. Probably everybody who reads has seen them.

So, time for a big hint, since three of the six remain uncovered.

The six posters, in random order, are:
Fernando, Ed Schroeder, mclane, Rolf Tueschen, hgm and Terry McCracken.

That should make it easier. Three left, and the three possibilities given. Btw if anyone wants to preserve the WordClouds, feel free, I'll have to delete them shortly to make space on the board software to put up the next six.
