Are you're sure that the inbetween thingy is needed here in principle (test it with xboard to make sure!)?
Windows 10 ships with standard openssh, no?
The chessprograms (mighty xboard, chessx, cutechess etc.?!) running under *nixes don't need the aforementioned inbetw etc. to communicate remotely passwordless (but with keyfile without prompt) with chess engine (perfectly simple).
in chessbase the *.uci files we can also find evil backslashes like this:
