Jim Ablett Unix chess programs

Post by Canoike »

Hello,

I have bookmarked Jim Ablett's web page containing a lot of 32 and 64 bits Unix/linux chess engines.
http://kirr.homeunix.org/chess/engines/Jim%20Ablett/
Also here : https://www.chessprogramming.org/Jim_Ablett

I get this :
"You don't have permission to access /chess/engines/Jim Ablett/ on this server."

Is there another place where his precious work was saved ?

Thank you.

In case a site is gone or down for a while, you'll always find a wayback archives mirror snapshot, at least if the site had some importance.

Good news, the Jim Ablett collection is back at http://kirr.homeunix.org/chess/engines/Jim%20Ablett/.

I made a backup of the collection as well, at https://mega.nz/#F!P10URKzI!5hiV02lv1VgBTg3LxUBiew.

I have a number of JA compiles that were not part of the original collection. As well, the original collection had a few corrupt files. I have clean versions of most of these corrupt files. It will take a bit of time for me to organize all this, but I will update my site when the task is done.
