Sorry Anil, but what are the parameters of that "desktop"?
With twin RTX 2080 Ti you can win easily against a 16 cores machine too.

I think the twin 2080 Super produces about 150% of a single RTX 2080 Ti in chess power.

To win against 8 cores it is more than enough just one RTX 2080 (without Ti) too.
So in my opinion you can thank your successes for your Twin RTX 2080 Ti and a lot of chess partners who use weaker hardware than yours and not for the 384x30-t40-xyz "big" net.

Got a few Tips on tweaking lc0 Parameters, especially for my Setup while using the ginormous Sergio NNs, from the Posts of my brilliant compatriot Ankan Banerjee, with immediate results...
