That nonsense was already answered and moved to the Engine Origins Section by the moderators. As a courtesy, I can reply briefly here. You should first refer to an authoritative source for reference such as:

"Philosophy, Computing and Information Science", edited by Ruth Hagengruber, Uwe Riss, 2015

If you wish to challenge the philosophy of shared information further, then open a topic in the engine origins section.

Has anyone tested the new features? Jesse Gersenson once requested a Linux build. I was looking for feedback on the stability for the Linux versions. Has anyone tried the to use the polyglot FRC books, or the polyglot14FRC book maker?

I'll start running FRC matches next week. But I certainly won't use the book - that to me is the antithesis of everything that FRC is about.
.

Opinions expressed here are my own, and not necessarily those of the CCRL Group.

I made several little tournaments with Cutechess Cli, under Linux, with the book that you provided, and didn't notice any problem. I didn't try yet the book maker. I would be interested to use a polyglot book in my own programs, if I ever could write some Pascal code to read it. :)

Nice! Any estimate of elo gain compared to 2.1?
I cannot help you on elo gain. My expectations are usually wrong. :)
...seems to be quite strong:

Schooner 2.2 x64 1CPU - RubiChess 1.6 x64 1CPU 58.0 - 42.0 +28/=60/-12 58.00%
Schooner 2.2 x64 1CPU - Andscacs 0.95 x64 1CPU 53.5 - 46.5 +25/=57/-18 53.50%
Schooner 2.2 x64 1CPU - Fritz 17 x64 1CPU 53.0 - 47.0 +24/=58/-18 53.00%
Schooner 2.2 x64 1CPU - Vajolet2 2.8.0 x64 1CPU 75.0 - 25.0 +55/=40/-5 75.00%

congrats

I am happy that the Linux versions are satisfactory. Are you in need of a polyglot conversion utility, or is it just a matter of finding the time to write the code?

For now, my programs doesn't use any book. I don't have some code to read a book. So, yes, I have to write some code.
