Counter 3.6 has been released:

https://github.com/ChizhovVadim/Counter ... ag/v1.36.0
Kaspersky deleted this file at once: virus discovered.
Is this true ?
Upon running it Windows Defender issued a warning that it might be harmful for my PC. I ignored the warning. To tell the truth Windows Defender does the same with almost all new chess programs.
I noticed that if I compile a source myself I never get a warning.
Thanks,
I uploaded the file counter-3.6-windows-amd64.exe to an online scanner and got a lot of warnings like BitDefender Antivirus 29.09.2020 Trojan.GenericKD.34592971 or Avast! Antivirus 29.09.2020 Win64:Malware-gen and some without like ESET 29.09.2020 Nichts gefunden.
I used Jotti and Virus total.

Koivisto 1.0

Some strangers and I have written this engine for about 4 months now, and we estimate its strength to be between 2800 and 2900.
We're still figuring out the build process, so for now, you might have to compile yourself. It's a single makefile.

https://github.com/Luecx/Koivisto

The engine supports all important UCI commands together with additional print (to print the board) and eval for a detailed overview of the evaluation.

We'd also like to have this run in CCRL, but we're not very familiar with the process. We hope there is interest in testing our engine.
Any news about binaries? I see it's already at v2.0

I downloaded the Go compiler, and compiled Counter myself under Windows from the command line, using the same parameters as used in the build.sh file included with Counter. The author used Go 1.15 to compile, whereas I used Go 1.15.2. When I uploaded my executable to VirusTotal, I got 3 programs flagging Counter as a virus:

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/495 ... /detection

I wonder if there is something in the 1.15 version of the compiler that is causing antiviruses to react to its executables. The code looks like a typical modern day chess program, with the only file I/O I can see being the Texel tuner.

I placed my compile here:

Any download links for Barbarossa 0.6.0 (github only has v0.5) or Fruit Reloaded 15A?

I seem to recall that Daniel Mehrmann was considering taking his Fruit fork private, but I'm not sure.
Fruit reloaded 15A was a spontaneous idea because i noticed the 15th birthday here on talkchess.com.
It's a public version of course. I don't created a own thread and this is probably the reason why it wasn't notice so fast.

Here is the thread which include the download link of Fruit reloaded 15A:

Thank you, Daniel! :)

Thanks for the answer. Here Kaspersky online detects a virus and deletes your archive too. I wonder what is the reason. Other chess engines make no trouble here.

I've placed one here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1q1hzFs ... sp=sharing

Requires BMI2. If that does not work for you I might make another try.

Sadly no... We are going to look at fixing our binaries very soon tho, as its probably necessary for tcec. Another release is comming as well, Koivisto dev is ~120 elo stronger than Koivisto 2.0 at 15+0.15.

EDIT: FInn and Eugenio are working on some NN stuff, idk if we will wait for that for our next release.
FURTHER EDIT: We'll definetly provide binaries with the next release

I rescanned my compile, and many more antiviruses flagged my compile as a virus/malware.

Like a chump, I did not strip the debug information when I made my compile, and neither did Vadim. Sorry, just not very familiar with Go. I recompiled, and not only do I get a smaller executable, but also one that seems not to upset antiviruses so much.
