Small nets as training partners

Post by dkappe » Mon Mar 09, 2020 9:19 am

Back when I was distilling net 11258 to various sizes, I made a tiny 16x2 version and almost immediately dismissed it as a joke. Now I’ve returned to it as an almost perfect opponent for club players at 4000 nodes. Even on a cpu, that’s almost instant.

Here you can see it playing (under the name leela2200) against another small net, the 32x4 mean girl 8.

Hi Dietrich,
Is the 16x2 net downloadable?
Thanks,
Carl
